Skilled Assembly Positions at Nidec Minster
It’s not unusual to find our assembly technicians working alongside engineers, project managers and sales staff to build our engineered-to-order (ETO) products. With custom work, you must have collaboration. The traditional assembly line set-up doesn’t work at Nidec Minster.
Machine Tool Builders work as part of a team, typically 2-4 co-workers, building metal forming, automation and related equipment. Each piece of equipment has unique attributes as they are assembled one at a time. The work environment is skilled trade; there is no high volume or repetitive manufacturing at Nidec Minster. Fully trained Machine Tool Builders will work from blue prints, use a variety of measuring instruments while working in close tolerances and a variety of hand and power tools to accomplish the work.
Our fully trained and competent machine tool builders have versatile skills and in-depth knowledge of:
- Blue Print reading
- Precision Measuring Instruments (Mics, calipers, etc.)
